حقيقة الأمر؟

I don’t know what is the motive behind this tweet. She could have stayed silent, she could have given cold condolences, or some vague condemnation of violence like some do. She could have even justified the murdering of four women by calling it a ‘clash’ – the normal reflex these days, for all people who stopped handling the truth – or maybe falsified the accounts with some crap of a news she heard while sleeping.

But, no.

She had to clearly state that those who were killed were not Egyptians (despite the fact that they are). A blatant lie. And as if killing people is okay as long as they’re not Egyptians. Killing is okay. I really don’t know what to say..

The existence of such people in my country is as heart stabbing to me as the killings that took place last night. This is as dark as it gets.

And I still say, it is darkest before dawn.

  1. الدم المصري حرام – اما دم الإخوان حلال

Yet still we chant selmiye, yet still we view every egyptian blood – even those that gloat at our pain – as sacred.

7a yroo7o wain mn rabna? Ya sissi yali dares, ya sissi yali makhed 3ahd tsoon nasak w t7mi sha3bak, yali 3ahadt ra2esak…7a troo7 wain mn ad3iyt el nas b hal shahr el fadeel?

Maybe this will serve as a wake up call, your women and children were harassed and trapped in fear, e3tado 3a neswankon souro ya rjal.

    لك يا سيسي لا تتحدى
    هاي مصر مانك ادى

(sorry for the excessive political take)

    I rest my case.

  3. I don’t recall anyone justifying murder when it came to Fulul. I agree that belittling them is morally wrong, but I don’t think it’s come to this with them..
